Python Training for Teens brought to you by Mozilla Club of HackathonGirls

Hi Teens,

If you are between the ages of 13 to 18 and want to learn how to make games etc using python , we have good news for you: we are holding a one-month summer workshop for beginners!

It will take place on 12th, July, 2019 at the Swallow center The Gambia.

Why Python?

Writing code in Python is similar to writing commands in plain English. As beginners, teens will quickly pick up the basics and learn how to use this language for game development and animation. Teaching teens Python through creative projects that they are interested in is a winning combination.

What will you learn?

This free workshop will explore how to program using Python by making games. We will start with learning Python’s simple data types, including numbers, letters and strings, and lists. We will also explore comparisons, if-statements, and loops. Finally, we will combined our new knowledge by creating our own game using the PyGame library.
